Sensational Skirts - Design it Yourself!

This is your opportunity to design a skirt: pencil, 3 panel A-line, 4 panel, princess seam with 6 gore, 8 gore or add a few godets.  This skirt class offers lots of individual design opportunities.  Come with your fabric (pre-wash according to need) or 3 yards of muslin for designing, a zipper and thread.  You will need a block pattern or commercial pattern as a base to design from.  Take the companion class "Skirt Block Pattern" and create your own block pattern from your dimensions.  You will design the skirt as well as learning about embellishment fun, fitting techniques and design options.  Depending upon the intracacies of design, you will come out with a completed skirt!

This is a great class for beginners to advanced.

Fee

The fee is $150.00 plus supplies.

Supplies include commercial or block pattern, 3 yds muslin for designing, fabric for skirt (pre-washed according to directions), 9" zipper and matching thread.  Bring your machine or use ours.

Pattern Drafting - Skirts (Companion Class)

This unique class is about you, your measurements and your style. A basic skirt block pattern will be drafted using your measurements. Using this pattern you will go on to learn to design various styles of skirts in our Skirt Class.  You will construct a skirt mock up out of muslin (to use as a pattern)

This is a great class for beginners to advanced.

This is a 2–hour class.  Instructor - Janith

Supplies: 3+ yards of muslin fabric, or purchase muslin from us. Bring your machine or use ours.
