Super Summer Sewing for Kids and Teens!!!We have some terrific summer classes for kids and teens starting June 28th. Most weeks will include a Sew Camp 1, Sew Camp 2, Sew Camp 3 and an All Day Sewing Adventure. Each student will need the requisite sewing ablility. Please refer below to the general information for Sew Camps. This year we are also very pleased to be able to offer you several two, three and five day Design Camps. These camps have specific Sewing Ability requirements. If you are unsure about which one is right for you, please don't hesitate to contact us. Sign up early - class size is limited. Some sample projects are shown below.
General Camp Information
Sew Camp 1Sew Camp 1 is where you begin! Learn to use the machine and complete your very own project! We will explore the sewing machine and how it works, learn basic stitches, basic sewing techniques, and identify notions that you will need. One possible project is a Drawstring Bag. This class is taught on our studio machines, and all supplies are included. Sew Camp 2In Sew Camp 2, more time on the machine and a fun project to complete will help increase your sewing skill and knowledge. This class is taught on our studio machines, and all supplies are included. Sew Camp 1 or equivalent sewing experience required. Sew Camp 3In Sew Camp 3, you will learn new techniques to increase your sewing knowledge and confidence by completing a more challenging project. This class is taught on our studio machines, and all supplies are included. Sew Camp 2 or equivalent sewing experience required. All Day Sewing AdventuresThe All Day Sewing Adventures, consist of projects that are more complex and in depth. Each student will need to be comfortable with the sewing machine and ability to remain focused for longer periods of time. This class is taught on our studio machines, and all supplies are included. Sew Camp 3 or equivalent sewing experience required. Design CampsIf you are interested in Garments and Creating, then Design Camp is for you! Design Camps are offered in Two, Three or Five day sessions and range from Beginner (having good machine knowledge, but no garment construction experience necessary), Intermediate (having some basic garment experience), and Advanced (having a good working knowledge of the basic garment techniques). Costume CoutureCostume Couture focuses on techniques... those fun, flamboyant and fabulous methods that make garments unique. Students will study garments from the past centuries and how they can apply them to current couture, bridal and everyday clothing, hats and bags. This class is for you if you want to master couture techniques, learn how a bustier is created and have fun designing and sewing. June 28th – June 30th
