Need help updating your home?  Come get some great ideas at our new Complete Window Series.  What a great way to save some money and put your sewing skills to good use!

Super Summer Sewing!

Super Summer Sewing for Kids and Teens!!!

Our summer schedule is shaping up!  Tuesdays will focus on learning to sew and DIY Doll Accessories.  Wednesdays will have the mornings as a drop in Make It Take It for all you crafty kids.  Thursdays will be more for all day sewing fun with a variety of fabulous projects.

The fee will be $35.00 for a 1/2 day class, or $60.00 if taking both classes on a given day.

Step Into Sewing
Step 1

Step Into Sewing – Step 1 – Beginning June 15th

This is an 8–hour course that will get you up and running.

We will explore the sewing machine and how it works, learn basic stitches, basic sewing techniques, and identify notions that you will need.

This course is being offered as four 2–hour classes (four consecutive Monday evenings, beginning June 15th, 6:00pm – 8:00pm).  Please follow this link for more information.

Step Into Sewing

Step Into Sewing – Step 2 – Beginning June 13th

This is an 8–hour course that is designed as a continuation of Step 1.

We will explore proper uses of different finishes, identify basic material classifications and learn different zipper techniques.

This course is being offered as four 4–hour classes (Saturday mornings, June 13th and June 27th, 8:30am – 12:30pm).  Please follow this link for more information.

Step Into Sewing

Step Into Sewing – Step 3 – Beginning June 15th & June 22nd

This is an 8–hour course that will complete the Step Into Sewing Series.

In this course, we will delve further into uses of different materials, finishes and techniques, as well as how to read a pattern, so that you will be able to take your creativity to another level.

This course is being offered as four 2–hour classes (four consecutive Monday evenings, beginning June 15th, 6:00pm – 8:00pm, and four consecutive Monday afternoons beginning June 22nd, 12:00pm – 2:00pm).  Please follow this link for more information.

Alteration Class

Do–It–Yourself Alterations

Pants too long?  Sleeves in the way?  Take this class!  This class will be offered on Wednesdays alternating mornings and afternoons beginning in April.

Different topics will be the focus each week.  Come for one...  Come for several...  Very open question and answer.

Bring your own alteration problem relating to the topic of the day.  Don't see your particular issue, send us a note suggesting it!

The Sewing Tree has grown!  Janith and Christine are excited to announce that The Sewing Tree has opened a Studio in Dover!  As of March, classes have begun at our newest location at 66 Third Street, Studio 201 (right above Weeksie’s Pizza).  This is an exciting time at The Sewing Tree and we thank all of you for your patience and patronage.

Janith is a Master Certified Sewing Educator!

Janith has become a Master Certified Sewing Educator (CSE).  She completed her credentials at the Sewing Dealer Trade Association convention in Las Vegas.  Congratulations Janith on this awesome achievement!
